Step 1 of the journey

Iraq

Let's get your documents ready.

Office by office.
Document by document.
No mystery.

⏳ Some documents expire

Don't collect every document months in advance. Some documents — especially the Medical Syndicate support letter (⁧نامەی پشتگیری سەندیکای پزیشکان — دعم نقابة الأطباء⁩), the fingerprint/police document (⁧پەنجەمۆر / بەڵگەی پۆلیس — وثيقة البصمة/عدم المحكومية⁩) and the birth document (⁧بەیانی وڵادە — شهادة الميلاد⁩) — should be obtained closer to your planned German application.

Based on our experience, treat these documents as valid/recent for approximately 3 months unless your responsible German authority tells you otherwise. Check the current requirement before submitting.

*Based on our experience. Document recency requirements can differ by authority and may change. Always check the current requirements of your responsible German authority.

💡 IraqArzt Tip

Prepare the documents that do NOT expire first. Leave the time-sensitive documents until closer to the date when your German application file will actually be ready. This can help avoid paying for, translating or authenticating the same document twice.
